Did you know we have an Underpass Park in Toronto?

Phase one of Underpass Park is now complete. An innovative public park located under the Eastern Avenue and Richmond/Adelaide overpasses in the West Don Lands, it is the most extensive park ever to be built under an overpass in Canada. It is the first of it's kind in Toronto!

The park has a variety of play equipment and offers a wide range of recreational facilities - including two half-court basketball courts and skateboarding amenities. The area is lit by a combination of LED spotlights and interesting light effects so that it will be safe and inviting at all times of the day.

The park is being built in two phases. The first sections of the park are between St.Lawrence St. and Bayview Ave. People can access the completed portions of the park from River St. south of King St. The second phase will be located west of St.Lawrence St. It is under construction and will open in Spring of 2013.
