Multiple buyers were initially drawn to this two-storey house for its location in the established Teddington Park community, says agent Julie Kinnear.

"It's a pretty affluent neighborhood," says Ms. Kinnear. "People want to be in there because it's very family-oriented and there are lots of nice homes."

This quintessential detached, three-bedroom home was no exception, kept in fine form over the years.

"It didn't need anything done," says Ms. Kinnear. "It was all in really good condition."

The water main was improved about two years ago; the roof was redone and front lawn landscaped six years ago; the wiring and plumbing systems were updated a decade ago; and an old furnace was replaced 15 years ago.

The original maple hardwood floors were also refinished throughout, starting in a traditional living room with crown mouldings and a fireplace.

The rear dining room and kitchen is a more open-concept space remodelled with a raised breakfast bar, maple cabinetry and tile floors and backsplashes. In addition, French doors open to a large deck with built-in seating.

"It would be nice to entertain in there," Ms. Kinnear says.

The second floor houses the bedrooms and an updated four-piece bathroom with a newer toilet and pedestal sink.

There is a side entrance to the professionally finished basement, which has a carpeted office and recreation room with above-grade windows and pot lights, as well as a three-piece bathroom.

The backyard has flowerbeds and fencing to one side and a mutual driveway to the detached garage on the other.
