THE ACTION

There were three offers for this authentic, two-storey loft, which is located in a former office building downtown, says agent Julie Kinnear.

WHAT THEY GOT

The professionally renovated 865-square-foot loft has an open concept den, kitchen and living room with 16-foot ceilings with exposed duct work, large windows and an industrial-strength spiral staircase to a loft bedroom.

Other highlights include a kitchen island and stainless steel appliances, as well as a four-piece bathroom with laundry machines, ceramic tile backsplashes and a rectangular vessel sink mounted on custom wood cabinetry.

The monthly maintenance fee is $294. Rental parking is $180.

THE AGENT'S TAKE

"[Units in this building] don't come up for sale too much, especially not in that price range," says Ms. Kinnear. "There are a lot of larger and more expensive ones in there."

In 2005, the sellers converted the raw office space into a custom residence with unique elements.

"They did a lot with it … and that staircase was pretty amazing," adds Ms. Kinnear. "It wasn't your average tiny, tight circular staircase that's really hard to … get up and down."
