Earth Hour: Saturday, March 29, 8 pm to 9 pm
In 2007 in Sydney Australia, a bunch of people turned off their lights for one hour to take a stand on climate change and deliver a powerful message about the need to act to reduce global warming. This year, Earth Hour is a global event, with 24 cities worldwide participating and taking the simple steps needed to reduce our emissions on an ongoing basis.
There are tons of things you can do for Earth Hour - if Pearson Airport can dim its lights (the first airport in North America to do so!) we should be able to light some candles and have fun - remember how much fun it was during the blackout?
