Pivot is comprised of a diverse group of top-notch health-care experts: sports phyicians, physiotherapists, massage therapists, and chiropractors. The staff are incredibly caring, generous, and skilled, and their expertise is sought after by professional athletes, dancers, and the everday lay person. It’s rare to find such a variety of experts in one place, all of whom work in a collaborative fashion to provide the best outcome for their patients.

I went in to Pivot to book an appointment with the sports medicine doctor and to avoid taking time off work I booked an appointment that was about 3 weeks from the date I went in. I was able to get an early morning appointment so I would be able to go into work after, and only needed to book off some time in the morning.

Just got a phone call 5 days before my appointment that I booked 3 weeks ago saying that they had to cancel.

I am so sick of this place. Last time I tried to book an appointment she said she had one on X date at Y time. I said I had to see if I could get the time off but I would call back right away. Called my boss, he said OK, called back Pivot quite literally less than 5 minutes later and she had given the appointment to someone else.

I will not be going back to Pivot and will no longer recommend it to others.

Hello, I wanted to reply to the comments made by CM above regarding the booking of her appointment with a sport medicine specialist at Pivot. It sounds like a frustrating experience occurred and I am sorry to hear that this person never actually experienced the exceptional care the Pivot team has to offer. Unfortunately the reality of schedules is that sometimes they change. People get sick, are in accidents and have unavoidable events happen that require schedule changes. I would suggest in the future that it is best to book an appointment to hold the time and if you need to cancel it, we simply require 24 hours notice. Perhaps you will consider trying Pivot for any injuries you have in the future.
Yours truly, Dinah Hampson – owner of Pivot Sport Medicine and Orthopaedics.
