Well, we HAD to go and see this movie, as my wife Mary is SUCH a foodie.  She loved the book and we heard so many good things.

You can't beat Meryl Streep of course, who was hilarious (although a bit old for the role) as Julia Child.  Amy Adams plays Julie Powell who's blog started it all.  They both brought their respective eras to life, and pulled off looking like passionate chef's.   It was nice to know more about the background behind the perennial best seller Mastering the Art of French Cooking - which is BACK on the best seller list AGAIN, even if it was published almost 50 years ago..
