Community Clean Up Day in Toronto

Saturday, April 21, 2007 is Mayor David Miller's Community Clean-Up Day across Toronto.

What better way to show you care about our city than to get together with friends, co-workers and neighbours to pick up litter in a public space in your community? There are two ways to participate:

Individuals

Individuals are not required to register. The City asks individuals to add their litter bags to their regular garbage collection (remember, regular pick-up limits still apply).

Groups

Large groups and organizations must register by calling one of the following two numbers (this ensures the City's ability to arrange pick-up of large amounts of collected litter):

  • Call 416-392-7899 (Toronto, York, East York, Etobicoke)
  • Call 416-392-7913 (Scarborough, North York)
