Tiny gourmet restaurant with meticulous detail to fabulous French food, and wines. Yum. Book early - it is hard to get a resi.
3.0000 (1) Brassaii Cafe & Restaurant
You have to walk through steel gates to get to Brassaii, its set back off King but its worth it! This restaurant knows how to do breakfast. With an in-house bakery and a familiar menu that satisfies every craving, this bistro-style resto has the recipe for breakfast success. Everything was made fresh, the croissants, the eggs bennie, just awesome!!!!

Hidden gem in the hip Liberty Village. Its massive inside, 2 floors, 3 outdoor patios. Lots of beer on tap and great wine list. The staff are on it, they are so friendly. Food is great, shephards pie with sweet potato! (loved it). The menu is pubgrub done right. Highly recommend. Steph Mitchell

Quality true Italian cuisine in a very cool setting - it is down a little laneway near Brant St, in the basement of a cool warehouse conversion. Unique rock walls, cave like feeling. Becomes quite the hotspot bar later in the evening. We really liked their glass walled wine rack, and our server was extremely knowledgeable with Italian traditions, regions and fare. Not nearly as bustling as Terroni's which we read in another review - more hipster though. Manga!

Best Roti's in Toronto - always a hopping place - fast food type atmosphere, food is excellent.

We had a great time. If I were to build a restaurant, this would be my kind of style. Great decor, classic tin ceiling, carved wood bar, round booths, not too muted or extravagant lighting, not too loud or quiet, we could easily engage in convo and hear each other! Open kitchen on lower level on way to fab wine cellar and wc. Our server was tons of fun, he liked to engage and be attentive but not too much. I think in the summer on the rear or front patio it would be even cooler. The warehouse type district its in is neat. The food was yummy, wasn't keen on some of the more obscure menu's typical French fare that I'm not sure who eats anymore, but would fit perfectly in a Julia Child Cookbook.

The Royal LePage had their Holiday party here and it was a fabulous venue for a large function. The seating areas were great. You coudl sit a atable or lounge on the leather sofa chairs. The appetizers that were served were devine. Mini sliders. Delicious chicken skewers. Sounds simple but the taste was amazing. The dinner that was set up was amazing. It was self serve beef with home style potatoes and delish veggies. My mouth is watering as I write this. I highly recommend dining here for a party of 50 or just of 2!
4.0000 (1) Poutini's - House of Poutine
My triathlon coach is going to kill me if she reads this! After 10 days of relative inactivity due to swine flu, I decided that I needed poutine; poutine with bacon. Poutini's is a cute little stand-and-eat/take-out place at Queen and Dovercourt that serves some of the best poutine in the city. I ordered the "Teeny Weeny Tiny Poutigly (poutine with bacon)" for $5.75. It was soo good! I wanted more and decided I'd better leave before I got myself into trouble. The restaurant space is simple, warm and rustic, the service earnest and friendly and the bowls and forks are biodegradable.
4.0000 (1) School Bakery and Cafe
This is a great place to have lunch or brunch. In the summer it's great because it has a couple of patios that are perfect for people watching!!
