Eat That Frog by Brian Tracy
Julie reviews one of the "team books" we've read and used personally.
Brian Tracey has a great voice. I first heard him on tape years ago when I was a young realtor and he had some really helpful audio sales training tapes. He is a world renown speaker and trainer, and has developed and shared some invaluable ideas. So, when our team was searching for a new book to read, we had heard great things about this crazy "eat that frog" book. And now of course, it has become one of our mantras. Pick up this book, implement some of the ideas and you too will be excited to "eat that frog".
Essentially the subtitle says it all – we all have sooooo much to do. And as our technology world of a supposed "paperless" society, the list seems to have grown rather than shrunk so far. I for one need lots of help on this topic, so we happily have given away this book on occasion as a token of our thanks.
Its an easy read kind of learning book – big print, short chapters, and helpful homework at the end of each chapter to help you implement the idea as fast as possible. There is all kinds of hints on how to keep technology at bay, how to prioritize, easy time management help – with the constant reminder to get the most important things done and everything else will fall into place. If you need help identifying your key results areas, a bit on goal setting, concentration, focus, then this might be right up your alley. If you want help in getting more stuff done in a shorter period of time, this might be a helpful resource for you. As Brian says – "Eat That Frog helps you zero in on the critical tasks and organize each day."
