At the end of 2018, Maria Karam, the new owner of the Redwood Theatre, approached the Leslieville Farmers' Market with an offer to host the market at the theatre:
Having just saved the building from becoming a Rexall Pharmacy, Maria and her partner Robert Indrigo had an incredible vision of turning the theatre into not only a performance space but a hub for local not-for-profits and community organizations.
This partnership with the Redwood Theatre is based on the belief in the transformative power of food to build community. Thanks to this support, they are able to provide a year-round place to gather and celebrate local farmers and producers.
