East York's Farmers Market starts every year in May and lasts until October.
First open in 2006, East York Farmers' Market is the perfect place to get fresh groceries. It's located at the East York Civic Centre at Coxwell and Mortimer. Every Tuesday you can buy fresh vegetables, fruits, mushrooms, cheese, fresh bread, honey, eggs and baked goods from thirteen vendors. And if you're just looking for a nice meal, East York will not disappoint you. You can find Domenic's Meats and Sunshine Shakes at the scene, if you get hungry.
It's a great farmers' market and a great spot for local Ontario farmers to sell their home-grown, organic produce. Here is a photo essay from a farmers' market held two weeks ago.
