What They Got:

"It appealed to renovators and people who wanted one level [living] because it's pretty hard to find one-level houses in that area," says Ms. Kinnear. "When they originally built it, they didn't put a basement in it because the clients were downsizing and they knew they weren't going to need or want stairs, so it was unique."
Some buyers had bigger ideas in line with four- and five-bedroom homes nearby. "The lot size was so large, it would handle a second story and more square-footage," adds Ms. Kinnear, who enjoyed her childhood in the area.
"It's an amazing place to grow up with spectacular public schools and sports for kids. It's an extremely family-oriented neighbourhood."
