We have lived in our home for almost 19 years. What we loved about our home when we first bought it was the fact that the school was nearby and were so many other amenities. Public transit, shopping malls, grocery stores, highways etc...
The home also has a very cozy, comfortable, warm feel to it which is something we look forward to coming to at the end of a long day or long trip.
The school is across the road which made it very easy for the young children at the time to go to school, it also had an after school program which worked great for those late work nights!
The school is great and holds many community functions over the course of the school year, from family movie nights to arts to bbq's and fund raisers, they also put on a spring concert, my children made so many friends, most of them which we still see so many years later!
Our Street is filled with great neighbours which may not be so common in some areas, they are friendly, helpful and always there if you need help! We enjoy bbq's together as well as desserts and share recipes and the odd beer in the summer, they always looked out for my children when they were outside playing or on their home or to school, they play at each other's homes and even have sleepovers. They're also great if you need a last minute babysitter and we do the same!
I know we can go several doors either way if we need something and they do the same! It is a very unique and friendly and caring neighborhood. I will miss all this the most!
Now that the children are all older and we have outgrown the home, I hope to find a similar home in a similar neighborhood! I know that whoever buys this home will find the same comforts that we did. Anna
