Junction Restaurants

4.0000 (1) Bunner's Bakery
Their gluten free breads are the best I've ever had. It's fluffy, and tastes better than regular breads. Pastries, they have cookies, brownie, tarts and cinnamon rolls (all vegan and gluten free). The Cinnamon roll is excellent. Also $5, but large enough to last you a few days. I made the mistake of eating it all myself. Yum. Bring your wallet, but it is worth it!!
5.0000 (1) Crema Coffee Co.
Hands down the best coffee in the city. The environment is nice and clean and although there is usually a table free, it\'s always bustling with people. Staff are really fun and passionate.
4.0000 (1) Playa Cabana Cantina
Small but very cool ambiance and vibe! Service is slow though but the grapefruit infused margarita is worth the wait! So damn good-but order two. Food was okay too!
3.0000 (1) Shoxs Billard Lounge
Shoxs was the first drinking establishment in the eastern part of the Junction neighbourhood since 1903! This is a sports bar, and also a pool hall. It is also an NTN/Buzztime trivia facility, which is how I first heard of it. There is a regular crowd of locals, but this place really comes to life during Maple Leafs games, or other marquee sports events (plenty of TVs to choose from at the bar, including a few in true-HD Quality). Like many of my other reviews of bars in the area with pool-tables, I don't play, but apparently the people that do, like it. If you don't like a sports-centric pool hall bar, than more than likely, you are not going to like this place. I happen to like this kind of venue, but in moderation of course.
4.0000 (1) The Hole in the Wall
I have been here a handful of times and enjoyed every visit. Yesterday I brought some out of towners to THITW and like every other time, we all had a great time. The music is excellent, a very cool and bluesy mix of tunes. The bartender was attentive but not too much so. The crowd was a nice mix of young and old, couples, grounds, singles. not pretentious at all. The ambiance of the place is this laid back cool feeling, i sort of feel like i'm transported back in time with the huge light fixtures and stained glass windows. It's a narrow and long bar but i think it adds to the charm and appeal.
